Vetmedin Chewable Tablets for Dogs

Vetmedin contains pimobendan and is the only licensed medication proven to treat asymptomatic heart disease in dogs.

Indications:

Treatment of canine congestive heart failure due to dilated cardiomyopathy or valvular insufficiency (mitral and/or tricuspid regurgitation).

Management of dilated cardiomyopathy in the preclinical (asymptomatic) stage in Doberman Pinschers, diagnosed via echocardiography.

Treatment of dogs with myxomatous mitral valve disease (MMVD) in the preclinical stage (asymptomatic with a systolic murmur and enlarged heart) to delay the onset of clinical signs of heart failure.

Important Information:

Please order the correct form—tablet or capsule—as prescribed by your vet. Capsules must not be split for half doses.

Vetmedin is strictly for the treatment of cardiac insufficiency in dogs.

Do not use in dogs with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy or where increased cardiac output is not possible due to functional or anatomical conditions.
